Mark Your Steps, Part 10 – No Surprises

The cross was no surprise. From before the beginning Jesus Christ knew that the cross was His ultimate purpose to redeem mankind from sin and separation from God. On four different occasions Jesus explicitly detailed what was coming to His closest followers and on each occasion they just didn’t quite get it. They were seeing the cross from a human perspective while Jesus saw the cross from a God perspective.
